A midlife crisis waiting to happen and a recovering vagabond, I’m a middle-aged Work At Home Mother of two and, in
my their downtime, an illustrator and writer.
I have been drawing and doodling since I could hold a pencil. Mostly self-taught, I waded into watercolor as a way to enhance and illustrate cartoons and posts on my first blog, called “Picking My Battles.” Watercolor teaches me not only to look closely, but also to loosen up and work more freely.
Currently working toward my PhD in Parenting (with a concentration on the Art of No), I’m still in love with the little stories that happen around the dinner table and at the school parking lot, even after publishing my research for almost 7 years now.
